Who is Shrader Designs?

Anthony Shrader Jr, Owner/Operator/Artist

Anthony Shrader Jr.  You can call me Tony. That's me.
I came to the realization shortly after my son Teddy was born, that I want to spend as much time as I can with him. So I need to be my own boss.
I've spent my life obsessed with how things are made, and collecting skills from different trades and hobbies. I've worked in many different industries, both digital and practical. Mostly blue collar, the jobs that matter!
White Collar is just another word for "Replaceable". Been there, done that too.
I like to make things. I will make anything that's in my power to create. I have all these tools and skills, and it feels a shame to waste away under someone else's employ when I can build something for someone. And maybe if I'm lucky, my son will want to create like his Dad. And maybe if I'm really lucky, we can create together, and I can leave him with a legacy.
Or at least a silly little local company that helps customers bring their ideas to life.
I hope you choose to work with me to create something wonderful.

Jodi. My Wife, My Muse, My Inspiration, My Hero.

My wife Jodi.
"Housewife" is what the world would call her.
She was the catalyst that made my life worth living.
Together we've built a life filled with love, creativity and hope. We also have a lot of pets... Like a lot.
We love animals. What can I say.
But we are both "Makers".
If you're a maker, you know what that means.
We're obsessed and caught in the eternal loop of
"How did they do that? Can I do that? Let's try."

Holding her hand (and leg, thanks Doc) and helping her through the birth of our son Teddy, the most amazing and exhausting thing she'd ever done, was the honor of my life. And I owe her everything for her dedication and sacrifice to our family.
Although her "Job" is raising our boy,
she and what she has added to my life gives me all the inspiration anyone could ask for.

Maggie and Audrey, The Shop Mutts.

These dogs... Maggie and Audrey.  We love them.
I tell myself that every day, because they test, OH do they test our limits...
They bark at everything they perceive as a threat. They've protected us from the worst things you can imagine.
Kids riding their bikes. People walking their own dogs. Delivery services. Leaves. Birds. Squirrels.
The list is ever growing.
Without them I don't know how we would've survived.
Ok there's a bit a sarcasm, I need to get it out from time to time. We do genuinely love them. But they are annoying at times... Let's not sugar coat it too much. They're small dogs. They cuddle, they bark, they pee.
Each with their own mix of neurotic genius. They certainly add a huge value to our lives, and I'm glad they're here.
